If you are ever in the area, our Church is well worth a visit. Officially opened by Archbishop Beck on 13th July 1965, it is a beautiful, fan-shaped building which affords the whole congregation an uninterrupted view of the white marble sanctuary. |

The sanctuary, itself, is dominated by the giant mosaic of the Crucifixion. |

On the evening of the blessing of the foundation stone, there was an unexpected hitch. Apparently, a photographer caused a short circuit and all the lights fused! The ceremony continued by the light of candles and a policeman's torch until the fuse was fixed! |
